MAT 131E College Algebra Enhanced

This course will focus on the study of functions, including polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions, and their graphs. Applications are considered throughout. This course includes 3 hours of lecture and 2 hours of lab per week. Students must pass the lab in order to pass MAT 131E.

Prerequisite

A math ACT score of 18 or better, an equivalent sub-score on an appropriate placement test, or completion of a developmental mathematics course (MAT 100 or transfer) with a grade of “C-” or better.

Notes

  • Students may not receive credit for both MAT 131 and MAT 131E.
  • Credit is not allowed in MAT 131E after the student has earned a “C-” or better in MAT 141, MAT 142, MAT 241, or MAT 242.
