ENG 415 Professional Writing: Grant Writing

Grant writing is an extremely marketable skill in today’s climate. The ability to acquire external funding is critical in not only the life of an organization but also for individual success. In this class, students learn the art of grantsmanship. Grantsmanship, however, is a process unique to the grant, the proposal, and person or organization. This course will NOT teach you how to write the perfect grant, because that simply does not exist. Instead, this course will teach you how to approach each proposal as a new opportunity to sell yourself, your organization, or a need that could benefit from the opportunities provided by a given grant. This is an active learning environment. In this class, students will learn by doing.
