NUR 464 Community Health Nursing for the RN
This course focuses on the development and application of knowledge related to the delivery of population-centered healthcare in community environments. Nursing practices related to the professional nurse’s role in health promotion, maintenance, and disease prevention for individuals, families, and community populations will be explored. The influence of political, economic, social, environmental, and cultural concerns on local and global public health will also be addressed. Three (3) hours theory and one (2) hour clinical/simulation lab. Prerequisite: Admission to the RN-BSN program. Co-requisites: NUR 463; 465.
