SPED 463 Clinical Practice Seminar, 6-12

This seminar is held in conjunction with SPED 462, and offers an opportunity for student teachers to participate in small group discussions. The focus of discussion is on problems and issues associated with clinical practice. Topics include classroom management, discipline, parent teacher conferences, and working cooperatively with colleagues and administrators. Other subjects discussed include instructional methods, multicultural education, inclusion, and related topics that student teachers may encounter in schools. The development of the professional portfolio is a major component of this course.
