ENG 316 Technical Writing

Technical Writing provides students with resourceful and creative "reader-centered" strategies to develop documents often found in a wide range of professional fields. Students will learn to recognize the rhetorical situation, analyze the target audience, determine appropriate composing strategies, and develop documents that effectively achieve their intended purposes, such as instructions, manuals, reports, and more. In this course, students will not only learn the general conventions of technical writing but will also be given opportunities to study and practice creating documents specific to their field of study.
