ART 400 Art History II: Renaissance to Contemporary

This course presents a conceptual understanding of art within historical contexts, emphasizing the ways in which art impacts and is impacted by society. Students will develop visual and analytical skills and gain an understanding of global identities and traditions by examining works of art from diverse cultures and from various eras. Art History II focuses on the impact on and variations within artistic traditions from the European Renaissance to contemporary times.
