CJ 503 Criminal Law and Procedure

This course examines the principles of criminal law and procedure, including the general principles of substantive criminal law, due process requirements, punishments, criminal responsibility, and procedural requirements for judicial processing of criminal offenders. Emphasis is placed on the significance of recent judicial decisions for criminal law and procedure, particularly those related to national and homeland security.
