Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Requirements

Expected Outcomes:

  • Students will demonstrate a breadth of knowledge from calculus, algebra, discrete mathematics, and advanced mathematics courses.
  • Students will have a working knowledge of logic demonstrated by the ability to construct proofs of mathematical statements and the ability to critically read mathematical proofs to detect logical flaws or unsupported statements.
  • Students will be able to use appropriate technology for solving and presenting mathematics.
  • Students will communicate advanced mathematical ideas in both written and oral form.
