PSY 353 Psychopharmacology
This analysis of the effects of psychoactive prescription and non-prescription drugs on human behavior presents therapeutic and recreational uses of both licit and illicit drugs. Topics of study include introduction to psychopharmacology, the effects of medications on anxiety disorders, behavioral disorders, mood disorders, psychoses and substance-related disorders. Recreational
use of psychoactive drugs and models of psychosocial treatment for substance-related disorders are also presented. Prerequisite: PSY 113. Fall, Fall online, Spring evening.
