MAT 131 College Algebra
This course will focus on the study of functions, including polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions, and their graphs. This course will also cover systems of linear equations and inequalities and their solutions. Applications are considered throughout. Students enrolled in MAT 115 concurrently with MAT 131 must successfully complete that course in order to pass MAT 131. Credit is not allowed in MAT 131 after the student has earned a “C-” or better in MAT 141, MAT 142, MAT 241, or MAT 242.
Prerequisite
Grade of “C-” or better in MAT 112, a math ACT score of 19, or an equivalent sub-score on an appropriate placement test.
