NUR 344 Medical Surgical Nursing I

Students collaborate with members of the healthcare team to plan and implement care as well as evaluate patient responses to selected interventions. The relationships among evidence, theory, quality, cost effectiveness, and nursing care are explored. This course includes field experiences in the community and acute care facilities for growing conceptualization of the role of the nurse as leader, advocate, and direct caregiver in caring for adult patients across the lifespan. Four hours theory and three hours clinical/simulation lab.
