SOC 435 Sociology of Law
This course links the examination of statutory law to core sociological issues such as the effects of law on society, social change and stability, order and disorder, the nation-state and capitalism. The sociology of law is a theoretically and methodologically based social science course of study utilizing sophisticated empirical investigations as the central means of studying the dynamics of law in society. Prerequisites: SOC 211, CJ 101, or by permission of professor. Offered on demand.
