ENG 303 Twentieth Century Novel

The primary task in this overview of British and American writers of experimental fictional prose who wrote in the modern or contemporary periods will be to trace the impact and development of Modernist technique in long fiction. Students will read eight or more novels, take two essay tests, and write one research paper. Note: the list of novels will probably vary each time the course is offered.
